In recent weeks, news of the final flight of the space shuttle Discovery was big news in the D.C. area.  The May 18 Washington Post had a  large and impressive photo of the space shuttle Discovery riding piggyback on a 747 over the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument toward its retirement at the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Museum in Chantilly, Virginia.
